Steve Woodbury
Steve Woodbury is a multi-talented performer in the fine arts of music, dance and acting is taking on the role of Director for new ACLOA "AIN'T MISBEHAVIN". He was the Director of Youth Developments Inc. (Y.D.I.) Teatro
Consejo where he wrote several plays that premiered at the KIMO THEATER
in downtown Albuquerque such as "PACHUCO ANGELS", "DREAM BABIES" and
the "BISCOHITO CONNECTION". At Y.D.I. he was the co-founder of the "PACHUCO ANGELS" LATIN DANCE
TROUPE for it's Youth drug prevention program. Steven was also the
Dance Choreographer for Cibola High School Show Choir and its various
musicals from 1995 - 2005, and choreographed various show choirs in the
Albuquerque Public Schools. Currently, he is a Salsa Dance Instructor at Selah Studios in
Albuquerque and a Classical Church Organist & Director of Worship
& Music at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Rio Rancho.
Dwayne Burney
Dwayne Burney has been classically trained in bass opera in Chicago and New York for the past 18 years. Now officially a baritone, Dwayne has traveled the world doing performances, including celebrated performances like The Phantom of the Opera. Ain't Misbehavin’ is his second singing play in Albuquerque.
Bapsy Sinandile
Debi Johnson
Debi, a transplant from the New England area, previously played the role of Amelia in the Musical Theatre Southwest production of “Ain’t Misbehavin”. Most recently, she played Evilene, the wicked witch, in the MTS production of “The Wiz”. She also performed in the highly successful Albuquerque Little Theatre’s production of “Beehive…the 60’s Musical”. Debi has played lead or featured roles in "Godspell", "Purlie", "Porgy & Bess", "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown", and "Man of La Mancha". Debi is a regular soloist at the Hillside Community Church, and works at UNM Hospital.
Gwen Sedillo
Gwen has been a skilled performer and instructor in the Performing Arts for over 20 years. Her strong and diverse background in dance, theatre, and community outreach, first began in her hometown of New Orleans , Louisiana . For over 20 years the City of Albuquerque has now served as Ms. Sedillo’s “stage” and home – where she has performed and worked with many local productions and companies. She has diverse experience coordinating and managing programs and events in the area of stage and television at the regional and national levels. Ms. Sedillo hopes that she is blessed with another 20 years (or more) to continue doing what she loves in the Performing Arts. She would especially like to share this knowledge with our community, and learn from other artists as well !
